NextPharma Technologies Expands Temperature Controlled Storage Facilities in Stockerau, Austria

Surrey, UK, 12th March 2009

NextPharma Technologies, a leading provider of pharmaceutical product development, contract manufacturing, cold chain and distribution outsourcing services, is pleased to announce the expansion of its Cold Chain and Logistics (CLS) business in Austria.

The warehouse expansion will create a facility with a 2,000 square metre area,  3,500 additional pallet spaces and  temperature controlled storage at 15 - 25 degrees °C.  The ground breaking ceremony to mark the commencement of this expansion work  took place on 6th March and the fully completed new facility is scheduled to be operational by September 2009.

In addition to the above expansion NextPharma has also increased its temperature controlled cold storage facilities by adding additional cold chain storage capacity to its existing warehouse to provide 280 cold storage pallet places at 2 - 8 °C.  Control testing of the new area has now been completed and the facility opened for business in February 2009.

Jost Bunse, Managing Director of Cold Chain and Logistics Services explained ‘there has been rapid growth in demand for our services as more and more products require storage at colder temperatures. We want to build on the success of our United States cold chain capabilities in Europe and this expansion is an important step in that direction’.
