NextPharma Technologies Builds New ‘State of the Art’ Cold Chain and Logistics Warehouse in Werne, Germany

Surrey, UK, 17th December 2009 - NextPharma, the leading European provider of product development, contract manufacturing and cold chain and logistics outsourcing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, is pleased to announce that it is to build a new ‘state of the art’ Cold Chain and Logistics (CLS) warehouse in Werne, Germany.
The new facility will be located only 3 km distance from the A1 motorway in western Germany, between Münster and Dortmund and will have 15,800m² of warehouse and 1,000m² of office space. The buildings, as well as meeting pharmaceutical service provider requirements, consists of 2 fire sections, 7 conventional docks, 1 jumbo dock and 1 insulated dock. The facility will have modern temperature monitoring (under floor heating, hot-air blowers and air conditioning.) The warehouse is scheduled to be operational by August 2010. It will have wholesaler authorization (§52a AMG) and a manufacturing license (§13 AMG) for manual re-packaging, bundling and labeling of secondary packaging.
Initially the warehouse which will employ more than 40 employees - from commencement will be able to house up to 19,000 euro-pallets and can be expanded further to house up to 26,000 euro-pallets. This expansion plan has already received approval by planning authorities.

Logistics services include importation, receipt of goods, storage, order administration, processing of returns, pick, pack, ship/dispatch, accounting, invoicing and debt collection.
