NextPharma Management Changes

London – 15 September 2005

NextPharma the leading European provider of drug development and manufacturing outsourcing and distribution services to the pharmaceutical industry has made the following recent changes to its global operations management team:

Pierre Bernard -Vice President Operations – France and Belgium will undertake full management responsibility for Laboratories Thissen S.A. This is a strategic move which brings all of the French speaking manufacturing operations under the control of one person and will provide a consistent and consolidated standard of operations across the French speaking market.

In addition to his new role at Thissen, Pierre will continue to have responsibility for the NextPharma plants in Limay near Paris and Biophelia near Tours. Pierre has extensive operations management experience gained over many years with Aventis, SKB, Boehringer Ingelheim and UCB.

Pierre replaces Didier Menu who undertook the role of General Manager of Thissen for two and a half years and will report directly to Herman Osterwald – Executive Vice President Operations.
